A section of road in Douglas is one-way until a week on Friday (November 4), to enable a 75-metre stretch of gas main to be replaced.
The closure affects Windsor Road from its junction with Woodbourne Road down to number 11.
Manx Gas engineering manager Robert Gardner says traffic is being allowed up from the Manx Museum direction but there's no access down towards the museum.
He says it's essential work, adding Manx Gas will try to keep the inconvenience to a minimum and finish the work ahead of schedule.
