Services transferred to nearby Spar
Windsor Road Post Office in Douglas will close for good at 3pm on Wednesday, 10 July.
It's being replaced by a new service at the Spar store in Westmoreland Road which will come into operation on Monday, 15 July.
The move follows the decision by current Sub-postmaster Lynda Braidwood to stand down from the role which she's held for 43 years.
The operators of the new facility, Mannin Retail Limited, have been awarded a contract to provide counter services which runs until 31 March 2025 with an option of a further 12 months.
