Parents urged to talk to children about dangers
Police have issued a warning about the dangers of playing on ice formed on open water.
It follows the deaths of three boys in the UK who fell through the ice on a lake in Solihull.
The Isle of Man Constabulary says 'children and pets are particularly at risk when tempted to play on the ice and adults can find themselves at risk in attempting to save them'.
Parents are being urged to have conversations with children and learn what to do if you get into trouble.
