Anne Kennedy Woods was flown to the UK for treatment after the incident
A 90-year-old woman has died in hospital after succumbing to injuries sustained in a road traffic collision last month.
Anne Kennedy Woods was travelling on a horse and cart when the collision occurred at 10:48am on Thursday 30 July on Killane Road, Ballaugh.
She sustained life threatening injuries and was later flown off island to a hospital in the UK, where she died this week (Wednesday 5 August).
The Isle of Man Constabulary is appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision who has not yet spoken to officers to come forward.
This can be done by contacting the Roads Policing Unit at Police Headquarters on 631212, quoting police investigation reference 97/5236/26.
Mrs Woods' family have asked that their privacy is respected at this difficult time.
Officers are also appealing for the public to 'refrain from speculation and respect the family’s privacy on the matter'.
