Ramsey police are appealing for information after a child was approached by a man on the main road in Andreas on Friday afternoon.
At around 4pm, the man stopped his van, a white older-style transit with a roof rack, and offered a lift home to the 11 year-old, who declined and went home.
The man is described as white, about 35 years old, slim build with short brown or black hair and was unshaven.
He was wearing a white vest and jeans.
Constable Steve Grainger of Andreas Police Station says although this may have been an innocent offer, they'd like to speak to the driver or any other witnesses.
Anyone with information should call Ramsey Police Station on 812234 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
