Several drivers may have seen what happened
A road accident which claimed the life of a woman in Onchan has prompted a police appeal for witnesses.
The incident - involving a white van and a pedestrian - took place on Royal Avenue, close to the junction with Royal Drive at around 9:50 am yesterday (18 October).
The driver is assisting officers with their investigations after the 66-year-old died at the scene.
A number of other vehicles were in the area at the time, and may have seen what happened.
