
A driver was freed from her car by fire crews using cutting gear after an accident on the New Castletown Road in Santon on Thursday evening.
Two fire appliances and a rescue unit were called to the incident involving two cars at around 7.30pm, near the Hop Garden pub.
Firecrews used hydraulic cutting gear under arc lights to free the woman from her Vauxhall Corsa. She was treated at scene by paramedics but was not badly hurt.
The occupants of the other car involved, a Renault Meganne, were not injured in the accident.
