Lifeboat and police called out
Port St Mary lifeboat, the coastguard and the police have helped a woman who went into the sea at Pooil Vaaish beach this morning (Thursday).
The inshore lifeboat, with a three-man volunteer team, was launched, after the woman entered the water at around 5.30am.
The coastguard and a police officer went in and brought the woman onto the rocks, where she was picked up by the lifeboat and taken ashore.
She has been taken to hospital for a check-up.
