Rebekka Lowther of Pulrose pleaded guilty
A Pulrose mum who assaulted two police officers after drinking wine at a friend's home has been spared prison.
Twenty-four-year-old Rebekka Lowther of Alder Road appeared before magistrates at Douglas courthouse.
She pleaded guilty to two counts of assaulting the officers on 5 May.
Prosecution advocate Hazel Carroon said Lowther got a taxi home at 11:30pm but the taxi driver rang police when she didn't pay her fare.
Officers arrived to find Lowther in a state of undress shouting abuse and insults.
Despite being warned, she continued a foul-mouthed torrent of obscenities and became violent when she was arrested, kicking a female officer in the groin.
Later, while she was being taken to a cell at police headquarters, she kicked a male officer in the same place.
Magistrates said her behaviour had been unacceptable, and imposed a four-month prison term suspended for 18 months as well as a 12-month supervision order.
She was also ordered to pay £50 towards prosecution costs.
