Police praise pair for their honesty
Police in the Island are praising two young men for their honesty - which has ensured a vulnerable elderly woman enjoys Christmas.
The pair found a purse containing what's described as a substantial sum of cash, on a bench in Regent Street in Douglas town centre last week.
The men handed it in to police - unable to identify its owner.
Officers located her after a community response to a Tweetbeat post - and the purse and all its contents were safety returned yesterday (19 Dec).
The woman's said to be very happy and overwhelmed, and police say it's a heartening example of honesty and integrity.
