Police have released more details about a car crash which closed the New Castletown Road on Sunday.
Two women from Port Erin were travelling into Douglas when their blue Mitsubishi FTO hit a crash barrier, stone wall and tree near the Fairy Bridge.
Both had to be cut free from the car by the fire brigade, which meant the road had to be closed for a short time.
Both were taken to Noble’s Hospital but hadn’t suffered any major injuries and were later discharged.
