£3.6million investment in 'inadequate' facilities
The proposed £3.6million development of St Mary's Primary School in Douglas is set to get underway imminently.
Tynwald showed unanimous support to Education Minister Graham Cregeen's move to carry out the extension and refurbishment works - improving what he called 'inadequate' core facilities.
Plans were first unveiled last May, with pupils and parents invited to comment on the proposals.
Mr Cregeen says there are several major problems that urgently need to be addressed:
