Enterprise minister gives update on reforming work permit system
The enterprise minister says work permits will form part of government's longer-term plan despite previously backing plans to scrap the system.
Tim Johnston gave an update on reforming the process in this week's sitting of the House of Keys.
He confirmed plans to simplify the system by launching an online portal are progressing with the hope that it will be implemented in the coming months.
The minister was asked whether he still supports removing the permits altogether:
