Taxpayer to shell out £75,000 for the works
Roadworks on the southern end of Douglas promenade are due to begin next week.
The Department of Infrastructure is resurfacing the roadway on both sides, between the Sea Terminal and the Gaiety Theatre.
It's being undertaken in four week-long phases, beginning Friday, 3 March.
The work is set to cost the taxpayer around £75,000.
