DoI reveals figure in response to Freedom of Information request
Work to prepare the road surface around the TT course for this year's races cost almost £600,000.
The figure has been released by the Department of Infrastructure in response to a Freedom of Information request.
Surfacing works carried out on the Snaefell Mountain Course as a result of an inspection with race organisers cost £484,470.
An additional £89,415 was spent repairing sections where the road surface met the intervention level for patching or repairing.
The DoI also revealed staffing costs associated with the one-way system on the Mountain Road cost just over £3,100, while other works such as preparations to barriers and signage cost £7,650.
