Trust keen to keep funding independent
Work on the massive scheme to restore the Queens Pier in Ramsey should get underway in earnest in March.
That's the belief of Tom Durrant from the Queen's Pier Trust.
Scaffolding has been put in place and preparatory work has been underway for some time to ensure the site is safe and in the right condition to allow the restoration proper to start.
Fund raising has also be carried out to ensure enough funds are in place for the first phase of the work.
Mr Durrant says whilst it's a massively expensive project, he's keen for it to be independently funded:
