Plans for long-term incidents like pandemics need developing over next two years
The home affairs minister says work is underway to further develop the Island's emergency planning function.
The topic was discussed at the last sitting of Tynwald before the summer recess when the Island's politicians gathered to discuss Kate Brunner KC's Covid-19 review and her recommendations.
Jane Poole-Wilson says the Isle of Man is well prepared for 'blue-light' emergencies but the wider concern is prolonged incidents - like the pandemic.
She told Manx Radio larger-scale ongoing events are the focus for the immediate future:
