Minister says legislative changes may be needed
Work is underway to ensure the ports can verify the identity of passengers travelling to and from the Island by sea.
Home Affairs Minister Jane Poole-Wilson says her department is working with ports police and the Steam Packet Company to have more effective operations at the ports.
Currently, passengers travelling with the Steam Packet are not routinely required to show identification.
