600 metres of track replaced near Groudle
Works to renew a section of the Manx Electric Railway track near to Groudle are said to be progressing well with the line 'on track' to be finished by the end of the month.
Six-hundred metres of track has been replaced, and work has also been carried on drainage and new kerbs.
Isle of Man Transport says its used over 700 sleepers, manufactured on Island, and 2,000 tonnes of ballast - the majority made from recycled Manx stone.
Manx Electric Railway services resume on 12 March.
