Motiv8 councillors to teach self care and coping techniques
Family and friends of people on the Island with a dependency on drugs or alcohol are being invited to a one-day workshop later this month.
It's being held by Manx addiction charity Motiv8 on 28 November and hopes to give people the opportunity to meet others in the same situation.
It's thought around one in four people on the Island are affected in some way by substance use.
The team will explore ways of coping as well as new skills and self-care techniques.
Counsellor Tiffany Crookall told Manx Radio just changing the language we use can make a 'massive difference':
The workshop will start with an icebreaking session and conclude with a guided meditation session with the option to receive auricular acupuncture.
Anyone wishing to take part in the workshop - which will be held at the charity's hub on Woodbourne Road in Douglas - can email contact@motiv8.im or call 0808 1624 627.
