
There have been six arrests made for drink driving since the police kicked-off its campaign to coincide with the start of the World Cup almost a fortnight ago.
Officers believe their anti-drink driving message isn't getting through, given the figure.
Inspector Mark Britton says, "Unbelievably, one of these people was arrested twice in twenty-four hours."
Police have therefore decided to reiterate the main points they've been trying to get across; to increase awareness of the dangers of having a couple of drinks and driving; make you realise you can't calculate your own limit and to get you to think about the consequences of being caught.
