Blue Peter's Barney takes plunge

The 45th World Tin Bath Championships take place this afternoon (9 July).
Listed by a UK newspaper as one of the world's weirdest festivals, the madcap event sees separate races for men and women, along with the infamous snake races - and this year, Blue Peter presenter Barney Harwood will be taking part.
The event gets underway at 2.30pm in Castletown inner harbour, spectators are advised to get there in plenty of time to park.
The championships have raised more than £200,000 for local charities over the years, but came about by accident.
Tin bath organiser for the Castletown Ale Drinkers' Society Dave Collister says the idea was first floated as a stop-gap activity for the town's annual carnival:
