The head of the Drug Advice and Service Helpline says she's concerned after coming across what appears to be evidence of people taking nitrous oxide in public.
Shelly Stanley had parked her car and was on her way to work when she saw a couple of gas canisters and a balloon in the car park.
The substance, also known as laughing gas, has long been used as an anaesthetic, but has become popular as a recreational drug over the last few years.
Ms Stanley says nitrous oxide is not something which seems to be used widely on the Island, but she does have concerns about it:
