New initiative launched
Could you spare some loose change to help someone else have a coffee?
That’s what volunteers at the Island’s Foodbank are hoping.
They’ve launched ‘Coffee Chum’ where retailers place collection pots at their outlets for shoppers to drop in spare change.
The money is then exchanged for coffee vouchers for those who need them most.
Volunteer Gareth Price says it’s important everyone in the community have the same basic privileges.
