Island at War weekend approaches
An organiser of the 'Island at War' commemorations says we could make better use of World War Two infrastructure - as tourism sites.
Taking place on 17 and 18 August, 'Island at War' will host a range of activities from 10am until 4:30pm daily.
Charles Guard is one of the brains behind the upcoming 1940s weekend - hosted by Isle of Man Railways.
Mr Guard used the example of Manx Radio's headquarters, built in 1939 to train cadets in the art of harbour radar, and says there are sites of interest "if you know where to look":

Consultation open on plans to formally recognise the heritage of Douglas Head
Drop-in session to support Isle of Man charities
Fundraiser to keep St John Ambulance emergency fleet on the road
Ayre and Michael MHKs request meeting with commissioners over rates
Data breach impact rises sharply as cyber incidents affect thousands on Isle of Man
