Predictions suggest the strongest winds are likely between late morning and late afternoon.
Meanwhile, the Steam Packet Company has placed question marks over Saturday's (21 December) evening trip (7.45pm) and the subsequent 2.15am return the following day.
A decision is expected to be made by 5.30pm on Saturday afternoon.
