The traditional way of registering and licencing vehicles in the Isle of Man is set to change.
Yellow log books are to be recalled and replaced with a new Vehicle Registration Certificate.
The Department of Transport says the changes are necessary because the current system can't accomodate additional information, including more accurate records on vehicles and their owners.
The records will be computerised to reduce errors and the yellow books will be recalled on a rolling, monthly basis when car tax is up for renewal.
The changeover to the new system will start this weekend.
