Travel disruption likely
A yellow weather warning for gale to severe gale force winds will come into effect in the early hours of tomorrow morning.
Ronaldsway Met Office says southwest winds will develop overnight with gusts of 50 to 60 miles per hour possible.
Isolated gusts of 65 miles per hour, on higher ground and in exposed coastal areas, are also likely.
This may result in fallen branches and trees and disruption to travel.
The Steam Packet has warned that a number of sailings are at risk due to the adverse weather.
A decision on tonight’s 7.15pm sailing from Douglas to Heysham will be made by 5.15pm.
