Mates in free moves
A number of taster sessions are taking place this month to get more primary school pupils playing chess.
The sessions are being held between 10am and 12.30pm on the 12th and 19th of August at Braddan Church.
The Isle of Man Chess Association is hoping it will raise the profile of the game and improve its image.
