Parents are being asked to check their children for lighters following reports of youngsters trying to start fires in Cronk-y-Berrry.
The Eastern Neighbourhood Policing Team had several complaints during the Easter holiday period of children attempting to set fire to fences.
The Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service is worried they could set off fire alarms, which could divert crews away from genuine emergencies.
