Southern group teams up with produce show for 'Big Spud' contest
The chair of the Southern Young Farmers says it's important the group supports community events to ensure they don't disappear.
The Southern Chrysanthemum Society teamed up with the organisation for its recent annual show in a bid to attract more young growers to enter the event.
It saw the introduction of the Young Farmers' 'Big Spud' competition, alongside more traditional classes for flowers, vegetables and confectionary.
