46.2% of registered 16 and 17-year-olds voted in 2016
The votes cast by the youngest in society can change the outcome of Manx elections.
With each constituency home to about 5,000 people, seats in the House of Keys can be won and lost by only a handful of votes.
In the 2016 election, 58.5% of 16 and 17-year-olds registered, of whom 46.2% actually voted.
Statistician Paul Craine has been analysing the results from 2016.
He stood unsuccessfully in Middle, losing out by 115 votes.
He says there's no doubt young voters could have changed the results in a number of areas:
