All abilities welcome for both racing and socialising
Does your child dream of becoming the next Sir Mark Cavendish? Or are they just looking for a new way to make friends and socialise?
Kids between the ages of two and 16 are being invited to get involved in the RL360 Cycling League which gets underway at the NSC in Douglas this evening (1 April).
Along with being the start of the 'Manx Missile's' journey in the sport, the league has produced many Island talents in the sport over the years - some of whom have gone on to compete at World Tour level.
The event's organiser Dot Tilbury says whilst the racing can be competitive, youngsters of all abilities are welcome to take part whether they want to race or simply get involved in a new activity:
Tonight's meeting is a 'come-and-try-it' session before the league itself gets underway next week on Tuesday, 8 April.
Anyone interested in participating in this evening's event can do so provided they bring their own bike and crash helmet.
Entry this week and each week going forward will be £2 which must be paid in cash.
Signing on tonight will take place at the tents at the NSC raceway from 6pm.
The league runs from this month through until August with the exception of the TT fortnight in late May and early June.
Sessions going ahead will also be subject to prevailing weather conditions.
