Youngsters in Onchan have collected more than 600 signatures in support of a skatepark.
Local commissioners agreed the scheme several years ago and have even earmarked £50,000 in the budget for the facility on the village playing fields.
But a decision to go ahead was again put off when the Board met last week, until after the local elections.
Youngsters fed-up at waiting went to the meeting with their boards to plead for the park to be built soon.
