A youth festival due to get underway today has been cancelled because of poor ticket sales.
The Firestarter festival was aimed at young people in school years 7 to 13 aged between twelve and eighteen.
The alcohol free event was due to have outdoor pursuits, games and live music with the theme Fun, Faith and Freedom and should have been held at Union Mills football Club from today until the 19th of August.
Organisers believe ticket sales may have suffered because of the number of high profile events taking place on and off the Island this summer.
However plans are still in place to hold the festival as usual next year.
