The first team for the Commonwealth Youth Games is due to arrive in the Isle of Man today (Friday).
Athletes from the Falkland Islands have travelled halfway round the world to be here.
They will be followed by one of the bigger squads, from New Zealand on Sunday, but the majority of teams won't be arriving until Wednesday (September 7).
The official opening is at the Bowl the following day, when the Earl of Wessex will get the games under way.
Over 200 local children will be involved in the entertainment at the ceremony.
