Fresh blood required to keep charity alive
If you support the annual Poppy Appeal but haven't yet joined the army of volunteers behind it, this year could be the time to sign up!
The Royal British Legion is looking for at least 40 new Manx recruits to ensure the 2017 appeal, which helps former armed forces personnel in need, reaches every corner of the Island.
Organisers say many long serving poppy sellers are elderly and unable to commit - and the appeal needs a new, younger workforce to safeguard the future.
The Legion says it welcomes people of all ages and backgrounds for a variety of roles, whether they can spare a few hours, or a few days.
