Police are appealing for witnesses after a group of youths demanded money from members of the public.
It happened in Strand Street, Douglas at about 7.45pm yesterday.
When no money was handed over the youths shouted abuse.
Anyone with information is asked to speak to ring Police Headquarters on 631212, or the anonymous Crimestoppers line, on 0800 555 111.
