
The Chairman of the Sports Council has admitted he was disappointed by the lack of medal success achieved by the Isle of Man, at July's Natwest Island Games in Rhodes.
Eleven golds was the lowest number won by a Manx team since the event started in 1985.
Geoff Karran says the Island Games are second only to the Commenwealth Games in importance, so selection should reflect that status.
He believes only genuine medal contenders should be sent to represent the Island:-
