Sale Sharks prop Bevan Rodd and Equestrian Yasmin Ingham among those named
The shortlist for the 2023 Isle of Man Sports Awards nominations have been released, with 2022 sportswoman winner, Yasmin Ingham up for her fourth award.
Bevan Rodd - who featured for England at the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France - is up for sportsman of the year after scoring his first international try of his career at the tournament, in a 71-0 victory over Chile in the pool stages.
Elsewhere, TT and Manx Grand Prix newcomers Ryan Cringle and Joe Yeardsley respectfully, are also listed in the sportsman category, as the former won the Senior Manx Grand Prix race in August, whilst setting a new lap record of 122.051mph in the process.
Cyclist Elizabeth Holden will compete with Ingham for sportswoman of the year, after she won her first race in the Great Britain ITT one-day event in June.
The Isle of Man women's cricket and Netball team are amongst those nominated for Sports Team of the Year.
