More than 250 people signed up for grueling challenge
More than 250 people are signed up to be part of a grueling endurance challenge taking place across the Isle of Man today (13 September).
The 2026 MFX Limited End to End Walk gets underway this morning, with competitors having to navigate a near 40-mile route from the Point of Ayre in the north to The Sound in the south.
Race Director, Tony Mackintosh, says preparations have been ongoing since March to make sure everything is in place for the occasion to go ahead.
Whilst the race is less than half the distance of something like the Parish Walk, he agrees its the terrain of this event which forms a big part of how difficult the challenge is:
The race is due to start at 8am - entries have already closed.
