25-mile race previously contested by Manx professionals
Today sees one of the most keenly-fought cycling events take place in the north of the Island.
Organised by Manx Viking Wheelers, the annual Hamper Race starts in Jurby at 10am, with signing-on from 9am at the parish hall.
No entries are taken on the day.
A 25-mile handicap race, it has attracted some of the Island's top riders over the years, including professionals home for the festive season.
