The successful season for Manx Harrier Harriet Pryke has continued.
She was in action in the 400 metres in the inaugural England Athletics Senior Championship held at Gateshead International Stadium.
In very blustery conditions in her heat, she finished second in a time of 57.0 seconds and earned automatic qualification to the final.
She wasn’t expecting to get through to the final, so had to change her plans of spending Sunday shopping at the Metro Centre!
Running in the outside lane, she finished a creditable seventh in a time of 55.83, just outside her PB of 55.62 set in the UK trials in June.
