
Martin Aram put up a spirited attempt in trying to set the Island high jump record on Saturday.
Aram narrowly missed out on 2 metres 14 at the Isle of Man Track and Field Championships at the National Sports Centre in Douglas.
Despite his lack of competitive action of late, he was more than pleased with his showing (audio file attached):
