Record-breaking year for Manx competitor continues
Manx archer, Lesley Sleight, has set a new competition benchmark whilst competing in national competition in England.
Taking part in the English Field Archery Association Spring Open & Team Championships near Knotting Green in Bedfordshire at the weekend (8-9 April), Sleight hit a score of 235 in the Marked Forester Round of the Veteran Ladies American Flatbow Class on day two of the competition.
It's a new English record in the class and it smashed the previous best by 40 points.
Meanwhile, Rodger Sleight also took part in the same event in the Men's Traditional Recurve Class, finishing fifth overall.
It's been a record-breaking year already for Lesley who's taken two veteran world and European records and four English records in the last three months.
