Manx archers impress for England in Estonia
Isle of Man archers, Rodger and Lesley Sleight have both secured medals during this year's IFAA European Field Archery Championships in Estonia.
Representing England at the event in Kõrvemaa from 25 July to 2 August, Lesley went on to win bronze in the veteran female traditional recurve competition and finished fifth overall in her class.
Meanwhile, Rodger matched that success with a bronze in the senior male traditional recurve event where he finished 16th overall in his class.
Along with the pair scooping the only two medals England managed at the meeting, Rodger also went on to record a personal best score in the Hunter round on the last day of shooting.
They and other competitors had to battle what have been described as 'challenging' conditions at times over five days with the course set on a ski and mountain bike in the forest of Mägede.
Lesley is also thanking Isle of Man Sport Aid for its support.
