Nigel Armstrong has won today's Isle of Man Mountain Ultra
The event - seen as one of the toughest in the calender - sees competitors tackle a 50 kilometre course over all the Island's major peaks between Ramsey and Port Erin.
Formally the Manx Mountain Marathon, it was moved from its traditional Easter date to September to try and improve conditions for the runners.
It will be a particularly sweet victory for Armstrong, who fell on Greeba Mountain during last year's event whilst in a strong position.
