Chairman says talks on 2018 already taking place
An article on the Motorsport News website is suggesting Rally Isle of Man could be dropped from the 2018 British Rally Championship.
Driver Fredrik Ahlin, who narrowly lost out on the British title, is quoted as saying "I have absolutely nothing good to say about this rally".
The event did have some lengthy delays to the start of three stages with the final run through Marine Drive delayed twice - firstly by cows in the road and then by an accident.
Chairman of Rally Isle of Man John Gill admits there were problems which will be addressed and calls the article by John Benyon sensationalist.
And he reveals he has already had discussions with British Rally Championship organisers about next year:-
