Manx athlete takes victory in women's race
Manx athlete Christa Cain has taken a notable victory during this year's Cheshire Half Marathon.
The Island competitor took overall victory in the women's race and the V35 female class at the meeting on Sunday (8 September) in a time of one hour, 18 minutes and 52 seconds.
The Best Athletics club member finished nearly two minutes clear of the next fastest female runner, Tracy Rogers of Buckley Runners (one hour, 21 minutes and five seconds) with Emma Brown rounding out the women's top three in third (one hour, 23 minutes and 42 seconds).
Furthermore, Christa's performance saw her finish inside the overall top-20 in 19th position out of the 1,437 across all the categories that finished the challenge.
