Island athlete victorious in women's race in PB time
Island athlete Christa Cain has impressed again in competition, this time by winning at the 2025 Green Park Reading 10k.
Competing for the 'Best Athletics' club, Cain stormed to victory in the women's race on Sunday, 1 June in a time of 34 minutes and 53 seconds.
That was nearly two minutes clear of her nearest opposition - Leamington C & AC's Kelly Edwards - who crossed the line second in 36 minutes and 42 seconds.
Poole AC's Emily Hilliar (36 minutes and 57 seconds) rounded out the podium for the female race in third.
Furthermore, Cain's pace meant she finished 17th overall and top of the F35 category.
Her time was also one minute and 22 seconds quicker than her previous personal best for the F35 class set back in February this year.
